The USB-C port problem

The Switch's charging port takes more abuse than any other part of the console — thousands of plug cycles, pocket lint, and the occasional incompatible third-party dock. When it goes, charging gets flaky, the dock stops working, or the console dies entirely. The port is soldered to the motherboard, so replacing it is precision micro-soldering work — exactly what our bench is set up for.

Switch repair questions

Can you fix Joy-Con drift?

Yes — drift is one of the most common Switch repairs we do. We replace the worn joystick mechanism so your character stops wandering on its own. Both Joy-Cons and the Switch Lite's built-in sticks.

My Switch won't charge. Is the port replaceable?

Usually yes. The USB-C port wears out or gets damaged — especially from third-party docks and cables. It's soldered to the board, so we replace it with micro-soldering equipment in-house.

Do you replace Switch screens?

Yes — cracked screens and unresponsive touch on the original Switch, OLED model, and Switch Lite.

My Switch won't output to the TV through the dock. Can you fix that?

Often, yes. TV-out failures can come from the USB-C port, the dock, or board-level video components. We diagnose which one it is before quoting, so you don't replace parts that aren't broken.

Will my game saves survive the repair?
